TuVox Momentum Drives Record Growth in Latest Quarter
Company Growth Exceeds 200%, Fueled By Enhanced Products, Strategic Partnerships, Increased Customer Base
CUPERTINO, Calif. – August 21, 2007 – TuVox, the leading provider of On Demand speech applications, today announced another record sales quarter driven by a substantial surge in growth and momentum as its conversational, highly branded speech applications drive caller adoption and the highest automation rates in voice self-service. This new business represents a greater than 200% increase in sales over the last record quarter. This unprecedented growth was driven by the addition of a record number of new customers and continued growth from new business within its existing customer base.

I am very pleased to say that the TuVox team, in conjunction with its strategic partners, has delivered on each of those objectives. This has resulted in record sales for the company so far in 2007.”
New Customers. Over the last 90 days, TuVox has realized sales more than double the previous record period. New TuVox customers include:
- AMC Theatres, the second largest theater chain in North America
- BECU, one of the largest credit unions in the United States, with over $6B in assets and 470,000 members.
- CitiStreet (Australia), one of the world’s largest and most experienced benefits providers.
- Harvard Medical School, as part of Harvard’s objective to advance the development of groundbreaking discoveries by fostering strategic collaborations.
- M&T Bank, one of the 20 largest commercial bank holding companies in the U.S.
- Progress Energy, a Fortune 250 energy company with $10 billion in annual revenues and approximately 3.1 million customers.
New Deployments. Additionally, TuVox has released a number of sophisticated speech applications for its customers. Some key examples are:
- Apple iPhone natural language router - multi-vendor Perfect Router, quickly and effectively separating calls between Apple and AT&T.
- American Airlines Federal Credit Union – complete telephone banking application featuring natural language routing and Spanish support.
- Virgin America – a complete flight information system for America’s newest airline.
Executive Team Expansion. TuVox has expanded its executive team to include a number of new roles commensurate with the growth in the TuVox business. The new executives include:
- A.J. Johnson, VP Business Development, fostering partnerships and managing strategic customer relationships.
- Priscilla Morgan, Chief Financial Officer, managing the TuVox On Demand business model, financials, and contractual relationships.
- Neil Storey, VP Professional Services, driving successful delivery of speech applications.
- Dr. Silke Witt-Ehsani, Ph.D., VP TuVox Design Center, leading the TuVox design ethic and cross-functional design team.
Product & Technology Enhancements. Over the last several months, TuVox has also achieved key product and technology milestones, contributing to the company’s growth:
- TuVox delivered TuVox On Demand 6.6, adding many new features including enhanced security; enhanced permissions/roles; enhanced user administration, and improved application modularity. This functionality continues to drive down implementation time, and enhance the effectiveness and usability of TuVox speech applications: TuVox Perfect Router (natural language call routing), TuVox Knowledge Voice, and over 50 Self-Service Modules.
- TuVox was granted a patent on the unique SmartGen technology that drives both the TuVox Perfect Router and TuVox Knowledge Voice applications. This groundbreaking technology automatically takes information from existing sources, including knowledge bases, and makes it accessible via a voice user interface.
- Rounding out it’s hosting capabilities, TuVox announced the availability of VoIP based hosting in conjunction with Genesys Labs., providing enhanced reliability and a great stepping stone to an all IP-based telecom strategy for our customers. TuVox will also shortly be announcing the availability of a third hosting center, to provide improved redundancy and increased capacity.
