Convergys Adds TuVox Conversational Voice Response Applications to SpeechPort Platform

First deployment of the integrated TuVox and Convergys automated speech recognition solution for Definity Health

LOS ALTOS, CA — February 11, 2004 — TuVox, the pioneer in Conversational Voice Response (CVR™) applications for call centers, today announced that Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG), the global leader in integrated billing, employee care, and customer care services, added TuVox' CVR applications to its open standards-based advanced speech recognition (ASR) SpeechPort™ platform. The joint TuVox and Convergys integration was recently completed for Definity Health to provide Definity Health's insurance members and health care providers with advanced, conversational speech recognition-based access to health benefit programs and status.

The integrated TuVox and Convergys solution will provide organizations with mission-critical call center operations the advantages of faster time to value, more affordable speech applications, higher call automation rates and a better customer experience.
