Sam Spadafora, Chairman
Sam Spadafora has more than 30 years of high-technology management experience and a proven track record in successfully developing early stage companies. Sam’s demonstrated board-level ability includes board-level positions with Chordiant (NASD: CHRD), Solid Information Technology, and Embarcadero Technologies. Notably, he was Chairman of Chordiant during the company’s IPO.
Sam’s board leadership follows an extensive operating career, including significant contact center industry experience. Sam served as President and CEO of Chordiant, taking the company public in 2000. Prior to Chordiant, Sam was with Sun Microsystems as vice president of worldwide field operations for the microelectronics business. During that time, he led the growth of a worldwide customer base and increased industry acceptance of SPARC and Java based technologies and revenues.
Mark Lazar, CEO
Mark joined TuVox in 2008 to drive a new growth phase for the company. Mark has extensive executive leadership experience, having been CEO of 10 technology companies across a variety of industries including telecom services, software, networking, and Internet services. Mark’s background includes CEO positions at Talking Blocks, Pacific Edge Software, and LoopNet, which went public in 2006. Mark also has significant experience at mergers and acquisitions as a strategy to drive company growth, and has led eight M&A transactions.
Mark has been involved in telecom services multiple times, building relationships with seven major wireless carriers, and helping build a $200M long-distance aggregator. Mark has also been part of many enterprise software companies, focusing on IT governance, supply chain software, and web-services management. Mark has an MBA and BA from Stanford University.
Steven S. Pollock, Executive Vice President and co-founder Steve has a track record of successfully building organizations, conceiving and launching products, managing product portfolios, and managing competitive strategies in highly complex markets. As Vice President of Marketing for Edify Corporation, Steve led marketing of the world's leading software-based interactive voice response system - Edify Electronic Workforce. Upon the acquisition of Edify and FICS group by S1 Corporation, Steve led the marketing and product strategy integration teams for the combined companies.
Prior to Edify, Steve was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Portera Systems, a successful vertical service provider (VSP), which delivers a differentiated technology offering as a service. Steve closed two rounds of venture financing, and was responsible for product marketing and operations. As Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Claris Corporation - the software subsidiary of Apple Computer - he helped grow revenue to over $200M and managed a 60 person marketing team. Steve has additional team building, branding, and strategic experience as Vice President of Marketing for DoveBid. Steve also has product management experience from Apple Computer and Microsoft. Steve has a Stanford MBA.
Jeffrey M. Crowe
Norwest Venture Partners
Jeff has been a general partner at Norwest Venture Partners since 2004 focusing on the enterprise software arena. Prior to Norwest, Jeff served as President, COO and board member of DoveBid, Inc., a privately held business auction firm, which expanded during his tenure via internal growth and acquisition from a $10M revenue run rate to a $120M revenue run rate with 400 employees.
From 1990 to 1999, Jeff was co-founder, President, CEO and board member of Edify Corporation, a venture backed enterprise software company focused on voice and internet e-commerce platforms and applications. Jeff was responsible for all strategic and operational activities at Edify as the company went from start-up in 1990 to $80M in revenue and 400 employees. Edify held its IPO in 1996 and was sold to S1 Corporation in 1999.
Jeff holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a BA in History, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
Tom Furlong
Granite Ventures
Tom has been a managing director a Granite Ventures since 2000. Tom joined Granite after serving as Vice President and General Counsel at Zhone Technologies, a communications equipment provider. Prior to Zhone, he was a partner with the law firm of Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich, LLP, a leading Silicon Valley law firm, where he practiced corporate, securities and intellectual property law for 13 years counseling technology companies (including Adobe, Applied Signal, Ascend, Datapath, Network General, Silicon Spice, SynOptics, Tollbridge, Vantive and Visigenic), venture capitalists and investment bankers.
Tom has worked with Granite managers since 1988, and closely with the Adobe Ventures funds and managers since inception in 1994. He is on the Board of Directors for Above All Software, Biz360, Digital Fountain, Five Across and TuVox.
Tom holds a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from Northwestern University.
Paul Holland
Foundation Capital Paul has been a general partner with Foundation Capital since 2002. His primary focus at Foundation has been the development and acceleration of enterprise software start-ups in their earliest stages.
Prior to joining Foundation Capital, Paul was Senior Vice President of worldwide sales at Kana Communications, joining them in 1997 as their 15th team member and increasing their sales over 5000% in just three years. At Kana, a leading supplier of Enterprise Relationship Management solutions to strategic e-businesses, Paul went on to build a team of over 350 people that secured more than 900 customers worldwide, and with Paul's help they were listed among the top ten IPOs of 1999. Before Kana, Paul helped grow revenues for another highly successful start-up, Pure Software, bringing them from a market value of $2 million to over $1 billion in his five year tenure there as vice president and general manager.
Paul holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley; an MA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia; and a BS from James Madison University. |
